Prototype 1

"Our core thesis is to cluster the 210 pantries in Marion County into logical groups based on geography, optimize routes to deliver to them, and create a multi-supplier, centralized ordering system that provides all of a pantry's deliveries on a common day and time."

Blue Team's Key Features and the results of their $100 Development Budget exercise, which we used to help set priorities.
003 Paper Prototype
Blue Team's Prototype, demonstrating geographic clustering and delivery route optimization.
Prototype 1 was created by the "Blue Team" at our design workshop. The features they identified as important were :

1. Clustering pantries geographically
2. Developing common order & delivery times for each cluster
3. Optimizing delivery routes
4. Developing sufficient capacity in the system
After the group identified these important features, they prioritized them by assigning a relative dollar value, assuming they had a limited development budget of $100. Creating a centralized system was the highest priority, followed by clustering/route optimization. Increasing capacity and developing common delivery times were lower priorities.
